My main goal in going to college is getting an engineering degree because it's something that I've been passionate about for a long time and I believe I can make a difference in some way or another through it. I like the behind the scenes aspect of engineering in that most people don't consider who designed the lighting in a building or how football helmets protect a players head, they simply expect these things to work. This is how I view my role on my team, I don't like to be the center of attention. I like to do my job and do it consistently and well. One of the most important parts about me is my work ethic, however my respect for not only authority but anyone who gives it back to me is another trait that I feel is notable. My commitment and discipline has allowed me to put on over 40 pounds of muscle since last football season, increase my bench press from 205 to 235 x 2, increased my squat from 295 to 365 and my deadlift from 325 to 425. I also believe that I am very well rounded in terms of character, athletics and academics. I've maintained a 3.67 GPA while taking AP and online college classes in addition to my core classes.
