I'm Dakota Dietrich from the small town of Thorp, WI. When I was younger I started to grow an interest in football while watching it on television with my father. My father continued to help me grow a better and permanent interest in football. Everyday I think about and/or talk about football. Every time I put on my helmet and shoulder pads I'm excited to learn how to overcome an opponent in an upcoming game.
In playing football I have learned a lot about myself. I've learned that you are not just a team out on the field, but that you are a family out there working as one. Everything that I do is for the family who is trying everything in their power to win the game. I have also learned that there is always a chance to overcome an obstacle, no matter how big the obstacle.
The only obstacles I have ever faced in football was my teammates doubting us when we are approaching game day. Like saying, "Oh they have the best running back in the conference or oh they are undefeated". I believe that any team is able to be beat. I don't understand why people are afraid of teams like they are the all and mighty. My team proved that this past year by beating a team that had beat us many many times in the past. With all those's times getting beat by that team it also builds a great strength to overcome a obstacle.
I see myself as a leader like to keep everyone in check and motivated to keep pushing. I also try to get the fans involve because it gives the players a boost in confident.
For any coach or person who is reading this. All of this information was to let you know what I have to give and what I have dedicated and will always dedicate to what I love. Thank you for reading my statement.
