Personal Statement
My name is Lainey Burkhardt and I am a student at Thorp High School in the graduating class of 2028. I have been playing softball for 8 years and pitching right handed in game for about 4 years. Currently in the 2024-25 school year I have a 4.0 GPA.
What makes me a good candidate is my willingness to put in extra work and encourage my team mates to join me so we can be successful as a team. This also brings up how I am willing to be a leader, and help my team with anything they need even if it's a mental struggle.
What makes me different is, I not only lift people up and help them I also make sure everybody feels belonged in their role. I also make sure I have good academics before sports, but I also manage my physical and mental health.
