I am looking to play college baseball while gaining an education, a lifelong college experience and contribute to a quality college program. I have played baseball as long as I can remember, and have always been extremely competitive and wanted to help my teams win. I am also considering playing football or running track.
I am currently a junior at Wauwatosa West High School in Wisconsin with a 3.988 GPA with advanced placement classes and on the honor roll and National Honor Society. I have played varsity baseball for three years, hitting .349 with a .415 OBP.
As a junior, our team won 16 games and lost 13, taking second place in our division with the first winning season in several years. As a sophomore, our team won 12 games and lost 17, after winning only seven games total in the previous three seasons. I made 2nd team all-Woodland Conference utility player the last two seasons and honorable mention all-area catcher in 2012. My main position is catcher, but I can play almost any other position if needed, including pitcher. As a freshman, I was starting varsity catcher for most of the season.
I played in the Perfect Game Wisconsin spring 2012 wood bat league and have attended two Wisconsin Baseball Report college showcases and Wisconsin all-star tryout in 2011 and attended an Elite Baseball Academy Catcher's Camp at Ripon College in December 2011 and UW – Whitewater hitting camp in December 2010.
I also play football as three-year varsity starter with all-conference, all-area and all-academic honors, and run track as a varsity letter winner as a freshman and sophomore while helping our 4x100 relay team take 4th place at the WIAA State Track Meet in La Crosse, WI in 2011.
I believe that my speed, athleticism, hitting and defensive skills as a catcher and knowledge of the game are my most positive characteristics when it comes to baseball. At 5-9, 165 pounds with a 6.59 60-yard dash time, I am also a very versatile player.
In addition to school and sports, I have participated in the Key Club and Math Club, while also working as an umpire, caddie, basketball scorer and food service. I would like to attend college and play baseball at a school where I can get the best education, overall experience and prepare for a career in business and accounting.
