Charles Ollis '15 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Charles Ollis. I am a highly motivated student athlete aspiring to play at the collegiate level. It has been a dream of mine ever since I picked up a basketball for the first time. My strongest skills include rebounding, playing tough,physical defense, and the ability to shoot the outside jumper.I am the kind of player who does the little things that don't always show up in the stat sheets: setting strong picks, hustling for loose balls, passing, and leading the team in character on and off the court. I work especially hard on the offensive glass and I am a true 6'6 player who is getting bigger. I am working individually on skills such as my shooting and dribbling. I am also working especially hard with my trainer, John Seddon, getting stronger and better physically. I have played varsity basketball my sophomore and junior years, starting several games on a team that has produced several college athletes. I respond well to coaching because I want to make myself and my team better. 

Academics are important to me also. I want to go to a school where I can excel in the classroom as well as the court. I have a 3.5 GPA and 19 ACT; however, I will be working with a personal ACT tutor to increase my scores. I work hard in the classroom at Mcgill-Toolen Catholic High School which has an excellent academic reputation. My grades are a reflection of my work ethic.
