Hello my name is Alyssa Kennedy, I have played club volleyball for 3 years and heading into my first year of playing high school (freshman) as an 8th grader at McGill-Toolen. Since my time playing for LAV (Lower Alabama Volleyball) our team has made it to Nationals by finishing first in our two years in a row. We played in Minneapolis (2017) and Detroit (2018). During these three years Ive played the positions left outside hitter, libero, and defensive specialist. My goal is to become the best at the Libero position and to continue learning what makes myself better at that position. I am passionate about volleyball because of the team culture and the challenge it brings me to become a better person.
It has been a goal of mine since a little girl to become a Veterinarian and to perform surgery on large animals such as tigers, gorillas, lions, etc. I'm aware that academics are my main focus and priority if I am to achieve both goals academically and in athletics. What makes me a good candidate for any future team is that I have a competitive spirit, great team attitude, and always look for opportunities to learn and grow as student and player.
