My name is Isaac Garcia and as a 6’-0” guard, I have been playing varsity basketball for three years under head coach Frank Ostanik. I proudly attend Monroe Catholic High School in Fairbanks, Alaska. I will be graduating high school in 2019 and intend to continue my education at a college or university. As a starter, our 2017-2018 season record was 25-6. My individual season achievements included All-Tournament Team honors for the Mt. McKinley Bank Classic Tournament, All-Tournament Team honors in the Barrow Whaler Classic Tournament, All-Conference honors in the Aurora Conference Tournament and during the State Tournament received the Player of the Game Award.
I understand that achieving success in the classroom is just as important as achieving success on the court. I am finishing my junior year with a 3.5 GPA and have been on the honor roll this entire year. I am determined to be a competitive athlete and a hard working student. My desire is to continually do better each year which I have proven in my improving grades and stats. I am looking for a college or university that will be a good fit and help me prepare for a successful future.
