I started playing basketball at the end of 8th grade, and made the JV and Varsity teams my first two high school seasons. My freshman year I played for the Bitburg Barons in Germany, where I earned the Varsity Commitment to Excellence award. The next season I played for the Middletown Islanders in Rhode Island. I played my junior season as the starting Varsity shooting guard for the Central Georgia Arts & Athletics Mustangs, where I was Offensive Player of the Year, averaging 16 points per game. I also made the All-Tournament Team at Central Fellowship Christian Academy's 37th Annual Tipoff Tournament. I now play for Monroe Catholic High School under Coach Frank Ostanik, former Head Coach of the University of Alaska. Monroe is currently ranked 3rd in the state in 3A schools. I work very hard, not only at team practices, but also on my own. My junior year I spent an average of 2-3 hours a week working with my personal trainer to improve my strength, quickness and agility and also had an additional 2 hour weekly sessions with a private basketball coach with professional basketball experience to work on specific skills. I attended a Five Star camp my junior year and also spent 6 weeks in the summer of 2015 at Combine Academy in Charlotte, NC, a camp focused on skills, conditioning, and AAU experience.
I was homeschooled up until this year and maintain an A average in all my classes. I am also a member of the National Honor Society. I enjoyed being homeschooled because it allowed me to spend more time on my basketball practice during the day. I am now enjoying attending a private school. I enjoy not only the social opportunities, but also being in a high caliber academic environment and great basketball program. I also enjoy music, playing piano in the church praise band.
My values are based on my Christian upbringing and my relationship with Jesus Christ. I'm excited about playing college basketball and my goal is to play professionally one day. After my playing career I would like to go into coaching and eventually rise to a position in NBA operations.
