Lucas Hutchinson '21 Recruiting Profile

For as long as I remember, it has been my ambition to play college basketball. I am a player with high basketball IQ, great ball-handling and 3-point skills, as well as a lengthy defender. My work ethic and leadership are undoubtedly my biggest traits. I push myself beyond the limits to be the hardest worker on the team. I am a very vocal and assertive voice on the floor, pushing and guiding my teammates. I take great pride in being a leader and a role model to others. I am a very coachable player. I am always open to new moves, techniques, and opportunities to further improve my game.

Off the court, I have a high GPA of 3.6 and study hard. I also help coach my school’s freshman team as well as coaching for my brother’s youth team. Other than basketball I enjoy spending time with my family and playing soccer.

This recent year, I was awarded Athlete of the Year by my school for hardest worker and best player. I have been captain for my basketball team since freshman year as well as being captain for my club soccer team for the past 6 years.

My collegiate goal is to play basketball at the highest level I can while graduating with an engineering degree. I want to attend a college where I can create new limits and push myself on and off the court. I am open to options to find the right fit where I can be a great role model and teammate.
