Samuel Herlehy '23 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing basketball all my life and have always wanted to play at the highest, most competitive level. I’ve never had effortless talent and have not had the easy route on my teams. On every team I have been on, I have had to work hard at each step to earn rotation minutes and starting spots. This process repeated at each level. I never quit working and pushing due to my absolute love for the game. I can’t imagine life without the schedule of practices, lifts, and games. 

Similar to most athletes, I am extremely competitive and will do what it takes in order to win. I give everything I have at all times and support my teammates, regardless of my role on the team. 

I learned from my coach and the program at Placer High how to play fundamental basketball with class, grit, and character. At the end of the day I will play harder and work harder than everyone else to keep improving and to help get my team the win.
