Braden Burman '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Brady Burman and I am a 6’4” combo guard from San Diego, California. Ever since I was a young kid, I have dreamed of playing college basketball. My mother is a pediatrician in the Navy and because of this we have lived around the world. Nonetheless, basketball has been a constant in my ever-changing life. In addition, I’ve always considered myself a student-athlete. I enjoy the challenges in the classroom as much as the challenges on the court. Thus, I want to go to a school where I can balance my passions for academics and basketball. On the court, I have had success in my high school and club teams. As a sophomore, I scored 321 points (2nd on the team) and was selected first team all-league. I led my team in rebounds, assists, and free throws and took pride in playing defense as well. And in my junior year, I averaged 17.5 points and 6.9 rebounds per game, earning another first team all-league selection. I attribute this success to my focused effort and desire to continuously improve. I know my way around the court because I grew up around basketball. My dad has been a high school basketball coach for as long as I can remember, and up until high school I sat on the bench with his teams, listening and watching intently.  As for my college experience, I want to contribute to a winning basketball program. I would love to be an integral member of a team, dedicate myself completely, and positively represent a university.
