Hello Coaches! I'm Isabella Webber, but I prefer to go by Bella. I'm an extremely hardworking and committed water polo player. I'm an athlete who truly knows the game of water polo. I am currently playing for Seaside Water Polo Club, and am the teams' 2M defense player on the 18U A team. Before being on my clubs 18U A team, I was on the 16U A team where we placed 2nd in the gold bracket of Junior Olympics. I must say that was probably my biggest achievement as a team and as a player since I scored in the final game. I believe that my 6 years of club water polo experience caused me to excel in that game and ones before and after.
Along with club, I played two seasons of high school water polo. My school does not have a girl's water polo team, so I joined my school's boys team. I was a starter and I balanced playing both club and high school polo while managing school. It was truly a great experience since I learned so many new skills from playing against other boys and it made me stronger as well playing against teams of boys much bigger than me.
Knowing that I'm capable of playing water polo in college makes me want to get even better by putting in the extra work along with practices 4 times a week. On the days I do not have club practice I am either swimming at a local pool or at the gym. Water polo is what I enjoy most and whenever I am in the water playing I feel like the best version of myself. I know that I will always be a supportive, hardworking, and determined player no matter what team I am on.
When it comes to choosing what school I would like to go to, I have many schools in mind. I mainly aim for California schools, but I am very open to go to any NCAA college. My goal while looking for colleges is to find the school that fits me best. To me, location and and size is not a determining factor, receiving an excellent education and being able to play water polo is what will be. I have many interests that include, psychology, marine biology, and criminology. My interests are all over the place, but as I progress in high school I will soon decide on a subject to major in.
My athletic goals are to continue playing water polo at a high competitive level. I am excited to play with other high level athletes who can teach me new skills so I can keep growing at my sport and to be the best player I can be! Knowing that at the end of the day that I helped my team and tried my hardest, would make me the happiest I could.
Thank you for considering me!
