I am a senior at Atwater High School in Central California. I've been playing basketball since I was about six years old and have always had great passion for the game. Two years ago I seriously set a personal goal of playing college basketball. My first priority was to continue to do well in school. Going into my senior year, I have earned a 4.3 GPA. For the past two years I’ve been in the gym or weight room nearly every day. Whether I am working out, running through drills or playing in a game I do so with tenacity. I am the type of player who will get upset when a practice isn’t run with intensity and focus. This past summer I have been working to transform myself into a 3 guard and transition to playing more on the outside. I was a top performer in my high school league as a sophomore and a junior. As a sophomore I was First Team All-League, and First Team All-Area and as a junior I was First Team All-League, First Team All-Area and Second Team All-District.
Beyond academics and athletics I have spent four years in our ASB leadership program at my high school, serving as class president two years and various other leadership positions. The spirit, enthusiasm, and community service our school provides is renowned throughout the Central Valley. I would like to continue to serve in this capacity in any spare time I have in the future. Right now I have a strong interest in Kinesiology but I have not settled on a major.
I look forward to working with my team this year to contend for a league championship. I also look forward to finding the right college fit for my skill set and obtaining a quality education at the same time.
