Wiktor Zmijewski '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Wiktor Zmijewski, I’m from Warsaw, Poland. My brother, Karol, introduced me to the game of basketball when I was 12. At first, it was just a way to spend more time together, but I quickly fell in love with the game. 

I’ve learned that I’m very adaptable. Throughout my basketball career, I’ve played for multiple teams and had many different roles. I was a bench player, 6th man and a starter. No matter what my role was, I was able to embrace it and give my all putting the team first. During my sophomore year in Poland, I was the youngest player for an U18 and U20 polish club, Legia Warszawa. Although, my role was limited, I gained a lot of experience from playing with much older players. It was one of the most important moments in my career as I learned the importance of work ethic and leadership that led our team to the Polish Championship semifinals U18. That sophomore year in Poland pushed me to work harder and helped me to grow as a player and a teammate, preparing me to play a much bigger role on my current high school team. 

I believe that I’m a very coachable and adaptable player that puts the team needs first. I can contribute to a lot of college basketball programs with my leadership on and off the court, and my work ethic.
