Jacob Bishop '24 Recruiting Profile

My goals are to play basketball at a college that will also help me achieve at a high level in my future career. 

Playing basketball at a high level has been a dream since I started playing in the second grade. I feel like I am a good candidate for any team because I will always work my hardest. I like leaving everything out on the floor, no matter whether it’s a practice or a game.  

Something that makes me different from other recruits is the fact that I will not be out worked. There may be someone stronger, faster, or better than me on the team, but I have the mindset that no one will out work me. I put in countless hours every week into getting better. I am grateful to have multiple coaches to help train me, but what separates me from others is that I put the same amount of hours in, by myself, on top of that.  I know, for sure, that it will keep adding up.

Highlights: 

* I was selected for 'Cream of the County' for San Diego County every single year that I was eligible (I was selected “Most Valuable sophomore player” & selected as “The Cream of the Cream” in both Junior & Senior year)

* I was player of the year for my high school JV team in freshman year, most improved on the Varsity team in Sophomore year, and player of the year on the Varsity team in Junior year. (Senior year tbd)

* I averaged 16.5 points per game as a junior on the High School Varsity team, with 95 three’s.

* I was one of 7 members on the Elite Gamepoint Club team, traveling to tournaments around the country.
