2016 HighlightsPersonal Statement
I am dynamic, athletic and love playing basketball. It is my passion and it just makes sense to work hard, improve, and win. Being selected for the varsity team in my freshman year was probably the most memorable event in my life. Taking action, scoring and leading my teammates to to play their best is the way I play, every game. Always positive and proactive, when the team needs motivation I am right there for them, out front with a high five or words of encouragement.
In high school, basketball is a welcome break from challenging academics and yet it inspires me to learn. Every day basketball teaches me to be a better leader to my teammates, friends, and even within my family. My mantra: leadership by example. My actions, not my words, are the foundation of my life.
