I would love to play basketball at a high and competitive level in college. I truly value teams that have teammates and coaches that are driven to win an succeed. I have always found my favorite elements of a team to be commitment, hard work, and competitiveness so everyone can be pushed. When I think of my future and furthering my basketball career I want to have the experience of playing at the highest level in whatever division I am in, I would love to grow as a player from coaching knowledge and hopefully find more opportunity. I want to be pushed by my coaches day in and day out because I hold my coaches ideas and opinions in high regards and truly believe they can always help me grow as a player. I also want to experience teammates that are as dedicated to the game as I am.
I continue to push myself to be the most coachable, hardworking, and committed player I can be so I can be someone who is relied on. I have been on varsity for three years but the past two years I have had a much more important role. I have been a part of a team that won league as a sophomore but since then we haven't had much success because we were very young. However going into my senior year I believe I can help lead my team and change our seasons outcome. I practiced almost every day of the summer working on my shot, finishing, and playmaking ability. This amount of practicing has shown me how much I truly love the game of basketball and how much I want to succeed while playing. I always strive to be the hardest working player on the court so I can lead my teammates by example. I have always been a more defensive player but because of the hard work and dedication I put in this offseason I believe that I have become more of a threat on offense as well so I can further help my team succeed.
I have also tried to push myself in my last two years of high school by taking almost all AP and college level classes. I have now taken AP classes: U.S. History, Seminar, Language and Composition, World History, Psychology, Research, Statistics, and Literature. This is much different to my freshman and sophomore years where I only took one AP and Honors class. I am trying to see how well I can do while being much more challenged than before and I am trying to find a love for the classroom.
