Amyre Gray '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coach! I would like to share a little about myself. I am a more traditional style point guard who loves to get all my teammates involved. I am a very solid on ball defender and I am an excellent team defender. I thrive in transition but am capable of consistently creating shots for my teammates as well as for my self. I am a solid three point shooter and an excellent mid range shooter. I can finish through traffic and contact. My best attribute though, is that I am a winner! I have consistently sacrificed for and contributed to winning my entire basketball journey. I began my high school career with a team that was making the move from division four up to three. We were able to win our conference and our season ended in a semi-final loss in the state tournament. We moved up a division the following year and were able to win a state title. In my junior season we had a couple of major loses to our roster and I took on a larger role. We moved into division one the next year and we were able to make it back to a state title game where we fell a few buckets short of a second state title. I was named conference and area player of the year, I was also named to the division one all-state team. I am an impact player who does not need to have the offense centered around me to be effective. I am an excellent teammate on the court and off. I want to play the game as long as I am able to and would love to stay around as a coach or trainer after my career is as a player is over. I look forward to meeting any and all coaches who have something to pour into my bucket as a player and as a young man taking my next step in life.
