I have loved the game of basketball since I was seven years old. Most of my childhood was spent playing sports and learning the values of being a good teammate and fierce competitor. I realized I wanted to play basketball at the college level when I was in fifth grade. At that age, not many people had faith in me. I worked hard and focused on my skill development and a few years later people began to take notice of my skill set and achievements. I am a competitor and enjoy the challenge. I always strive to do better and am the person who constantly looks for new camps and training opportunities to improve my game. I have been coached by various people including professional players and study the game of basketball to improve my basketball IQ. As a teammate, I play unselfishly and enjoy the camaraderie and competition shared by the team. I aspire to do the best I can in sports and academics. Currently, I am thinking of pursuing a career in sports medicine, physical therapy, or psychology. I am looking for a college that has a strong focus on academics and that will allow me to play at the highest level of basketball I can attain.
