2019 HighlightsPersonal Statement
I became interested in basketball after witnessing the 2011 NBA Finals because I live in Miami. I started playing basketball when I was around 7 years old along with soccer, and I decided to drop soccer when I was 12 and have focused solely on basketball since then. I've learned a lot during my time playing basketball and believe that the biggest lesson I've learned about myself is about competitiveness. I'm a very competitive person and it shows on the basketball court. A couple of characteristics about myself that give me an edge on the court are that I can read the floor very well on both the offensive and defensive ends, and that I have a very good shot selection. I attend a school that is very rigorous academically and I strive to balance my basketball with getting good grades on my classes. I took two AP classes in my junior year. and I signed up for four AP classes for my final year - AP Calculus, AP Biology, AP Macro/Microeconomics, AP Spanish Language. I am as proud of my scholastic achievements as I am of my efforts on the court.
