Personal Statement

My name is Isaac Tewolde and I am the team captain of the 2018-19 South Broward HS basketball team. I take pride in being a communicator and a leader for my team. My Coach, Nicholas Porter, has instilled so many things in me that I not only believe I can take into a college program, but that I can keep with me for the rest of my life.

I believe my biggest accomplishments are earning the Sportsmanship Award and being named Student-Athlete of the week multiple times during my senior year. It tells me that I have made an impact both on and off the court for my team this year. These feats will help me leave my mark on the program for my great coaches and teammates.

I believe that I can bring great leadership, strong communication, fierce basket-attacking, and solid perimeter shot-making to a college program. On top of this I pride myself on being coachable, doing whatever is necessary that my coach needs from me to win.
