Hello Future Coach,
As the 3rd and final child of my parents, I have the pressure of being a college graduate as my sibling and parents all have college degrees. Therefore, my college aspirations is to play college basketball and obtain my Bachelor's degree. It is with great desire that I attend a college that offers a variety of sports majors/programs, allows me the opportunity to be an asset to their basketball program and helps me mature into the young man God has called me to be.
I'm fully aware of the competition, however, what makes me a good candidate for your team is my basketball IQ, team oriented mentality and my ability to buy in to the coach/team's vision.
What makes me different from other recruits is I'm a leader not a follower, I'm a talented basketball player with court vision. I am a game changer because I have the ability to change the pace of the game and get my teammates involved. My weakness and one thing I know I need to improve upon is my academics. This is the area where I must step up my game. If given the chance at your school I will do everything I must in order to always be academically eligible and in position to obtain my degree. My parents always preach the importance of academics and I know it's important because it is the one thing no one can ever take from you.
