Amare Thompson '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Amare Thompson I am an academic sophomore currently at Indiana Tech. My college career gpa is 3.33 and I strive every class to keep raising my grades. My major is business & graphic design. I’m looking for 1 opportunity to earn a roster spot and player college ball. I am a difference maker always looking to make the right play. I can personally guarantee any Coach that you are getting clean living, leader, 1st to class, 1st in gym and always looking to help anyone in anyway I can. 

What type of player are you getting?
I am a combo guard that picks up full court. My greatest skills are I’m very coachable, I am a hard worker that doesn’t take plays off  and I look to get better everyday like to stay in the gym when I’m not in class.
I can guard any position on the court and I can score inside or out. I ask to guard to other team's best player.
I strive to be the glue guy on every team I’m on.  Many of  my coaches have told me that they appreciate the energy I bring to our team.  I am always looking to improve and contribute and support my teammates. Thank you in advance for viewing my profile.

• Gym Rat: Spends at minimum, 3-4 extra hours a week outside of practice in the gym
• Elite lateral quickness

• Knows his game. Understands how use his own time to work on weaknesses... but stays within himself in game setting
• Makes plays without the ball. Crashes offensive boards and also cuts well off the ball
• Improving shooter... particularly in catch/shoot situations 
• GREAT teammate. All about the team. Puts team goals above individual goals
• Uses his voice effectively in team settings on court. Adds energy to group setting
• Has a basketball body. Long arms, wiry strength (adding muscle quickly), and ability to move well in all directions
• Very strong downhill driver. Gets to spots effectively in straight lines without wasting movement

 COACHES EVALUATION 2022

TSF Regional PG Coach/trainer Amare has the ability to adapt to situations in front of him. Whatever system the program calls for he can fit into the system and help be successful. He also imposes himself in the team environment by being vocally leading and encouraging.

On the court Amare will continue to develop as an aggressive on ball defender. He can frustrate ball handlers that like to initiate offense. On the offensive end, Amaree is a timely cutter that can finish around length.
