Hi Coaches,

My name is Jarontez Garrett, I am excited to say I am looking forward to the process of finding my new home for the next four years. As of right now I do not attend an institution. I attended Norwich University after graduating from North Atlanta High School in 2020. Due to Covid-19 we were only allowed 8 games. During these 8 games I averaged 16.3 minutes, 6.3 points, 2.4 assists, 1.3 rebounds, and shot 43% from the field. My goal is to find a basketball program that will help me develop while receiving an 4 year degree. I am a hard worker and competitor on and off the court. Even though I am 5’9, I am very athletic. I have an explosive first step and exceptional ball-handling skills. I can play above the rim. I also can shoot off the dribble or spot up. I am effective at the pick-and-roll, and I can create shots for myself and my teammates at any given moment. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit more about me. His ability to collapse the defense with the drive allows him to make plays for himself and others. He proved to be a solid jump shooter at the camp as well. He hit step-back 3-pointers after setting up his defenders with finishes in the lane.

Jarontez Garrett , a 5'7 2020 155 lb prospect of Jamestown HS (VA), is a solid player with potential. Jarontez possesses very good size for position and the prospect has good length and good athleticism. Jarontez reported a fantastic academic resume and proved to have a very good basketball IQ. The prospect displayed very good shot selection in addition to being a superb shooter with time and space. The prospect was evaluated as having a good body type for the next level. The player's strength was rated good but should continue to develop with age and a regimented weight/conditioning program that includes push ups/jumping rope amongst other body weight and quickness drills. The player displayed a very good motor in addition to showing good toughness. The 2020 prospect exemplified very good passing ability and superb ball handling skills. Finishing ability around the basket appeared to be superb and from an overall defensive standpoint the prospect is decent. Defensively we would like to see continued improvement both on and off the ball in addition to always seeing ball and man. We would emphasize staying lower on both ends of the court. In addition, we would like you to continue learning how to play without the ball as most players only have the ball a max of 10% of the game (even less if you have ball stoppers on your team). We are excited to monitor this prospect's development in the future and would like to see continued improvement in all areas we rated as decent or good t o fully maximize college potential.
