My name is Danny Rice and I'm a 6'7", 190 pd hardworking basketball player. I'm truly dedicated to this sport. I'm an athlete who knows the game of basketball and have been playing my entire life. I am currently finishing my junior year at Maine West High in Des Plaines. Our team finished 19-8 and won the Central Suburban League this year. Basketball is a year round sport for me. When not playing for my school team I play for All IN Athletics on the elite U17 team.
Knowing that I'm capable of playing basketball in college makes me more passionate for this sport. I believe Maine West and ALL IN Athletics is preparing me for the next step in my academic and athletic life. What I can offer to a team is the promise to always work hard and never stop until the final buzzer goes off. I am the first at practice and the last to leave.
When it comes to choosing what school I would like to go to, my options are open to going anywhere and hope to just find a college that fits me the best. It doesn't matter about the size or location; if I can receive a good education and play basketball, I will be happy. I am still considering all options for a 4 year college. I just took the ACT and received a 28, I will not be retaking it.
While basketball is my passion I am a 3 sport athlete in high school since my freshman year. I play golf in the Fall and Volleyball in the Spring, while still playing Basketball for ALL IN, and maintain a B average in school. I continue to work out to increase my speed, strength and agility.
My realistic athletic goals are to continue playing the sport I love at a high competition level. Another goal of mine is to make an impact on the team. Knowing at the end of the day that I made a difference and tried my hardest would be very satisfying for me.
