My name is Aaron Wheeler and I would like to share with you who I am and the reasons why I am the person I am today. I am a very enthusiastic, laid back person, who loves to be around others with positive attitudes. My family is close and has exposed my brother and I to a lot of experiences. I’m very grateful for them and all the things I have been given. Because of all of the opportunities I have had I understand how important it is to be helpful to others and lead. I tend to find humor in most things as being relaxed allows me to be the best leader I can be.
Growing up my family has been a huge part of my life. My grandparents always stressed how important it is to care for others and to keep good intentions at all times. My parents taught me discipline, and the many things that it would take for me to be successful in life. My big brother is one of my role models. He pushes me to challenge myself in everything I do while keeping a good mindset.
Spending time in church has always been very important to my family. Growing up and into the present day I have gone to Eastview Christian Church where I have learned how to live through Christ and spread his word. A couple of years ago, my family went on a mission trip to Cap Haitien, Haiti. While we were there, we got the opportunity to go to a Haitian church service and serve others in the community.
Sports have always been a huge part of my life since I was young. My parents let me play any sport I wanted to so I was able to learn different things from different sports. While playing football I learned how to control my emotions, learn to face others, and keep cool. During basketball I learned how to lead a team and have better communication skills. Lastly, during track I learned how to push through the hard times, stay relaxed while leading others, and understanding that it takes time to improve at anything. I’m looking forward to continuing to learn, serve and lead others.
