Derrick Chaney '16 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goals to be successful through college and be able to provide on my own, whether it's my academics or basketball. My aspirations are God, my family and everybody that has helped me to get where I am today. Academic wise, the field of study in law such as criminal investigations and Evidence Technicians are what aspires me. Basketball is of course one of my main aspirations and I want to play at the highest level. I feel like that what separates me from other recruits is my character. My character is being positive and knowing how to carry myself on and off the court. Also, being a leader and the kind of person people look up too. Mainly, my dedication to everything I do in my life. Everything I do, I don't just don't do it. I make sure I do it with a purpose. Therefore, my character separates me from other recruits. Such as, academics and athletics my effort is there and I go hard all the time. I honestly feel that my character, athletics and academics separates me from other recruits.
