Mason Kibelkis '22 Recruiting Profile

I have had a passion for sports and competition from a very young age and I have always been determined to be able to play at the highest level I possibly could. I currently play both basketball and baseball on my school's varsity teams along with travel basketball and baseball in the spring, summer, and fall. This year I played my AAU season with the Illinois Stars, who are in the UAA Circuit. We played in the Ballin Under 1 Roof, Pangos Terrific 24, Midwest Collision, and four local tournaments. Some of my teammates throughout the season included multiple nationally ranked players. My team had a record of 21-10 and competed in very high level tournaments. This past high school varsity season as a sophomore I averaged 17.7 PPG, while making 110 threes. I believe that I shoot the ball exceptionally well with accuracy and range. I can hit shots off the dribble or off the pass and I am very comfortable handling the ball in any situation. I also feel like I have good court vision and I can read a defense quickly allowing me to make passes that others can't. I work everyday to get better and improve my game and physique and I would bring a terrific work ethic and attitude to any school that would give me the chance. Along with my athletics I work very hard in the classroom. I currently have a 3.85 out of a 4.00 scale cumulative GPA from all of my high school career, taking honors and AP courses. If I am given the chance I will not fail to succeed in the classroom and the court!
