From the time I was born, my parents have always pushed me to do my best at everything. My dad always said, "in our family quitting is not an option." I have been playing basketball since I first touched a ball at 3, and my love for the game pushes me to work hard everyday at my skill. I am not the biggest, nor the strongest, but I know that I will be the hardest worker on and off the court no matter the situation. I will do whatever it takes for my team to win. I am a leader and a team player at all times, and am willing to sacrifice whatever is necessary to bring the team to victory. I realize that I have big goals to play competitively at the college level, but I have put and continue to focus all my energy towards achieving this each and everyday.
I also push myself just as hard academically. I know that I will need an education ,and I want to succeed in other facets of life besides basketball. With the advice from my parents, I have been able to maintain a perfect gpa and will work to continue to do so.
Overall, of course I want people to think of me as a great athlete and a great student, but most of all I want them to think I am an even better person and the hardest worker.
