coaching staff,
My name is Specialist Dominique Hansberry, and oddly enough I am not a high school student, but a soldier in the US Army. I introduce not only as a prospective student athlete, but a soldier, a father, and someone who loves the game of basketball. I'm looking to further my education in the technology field, and be apart of a team. With this contact I hope it brings us closer to a potential common goal.
At 6'2 195 lbs,I currently play for the USA team here in Arifjan, Kuwait, where I am currently deployed.I also have played four years varsity basketball, and I played AAU for the DC Blue Devils, under Coach Ray Smith. Unfortunately, the only game footage I have is from high school, but when we start playing other teams out here I will have some up to date game film.
The following are reasons that will allow me to be an asset to your team:
Leader by example – Captain of High School Varsity Team & AAU Team from 14u-17u.
Team player – Enjoy making plays within flow of game series; setting team members up to score.
Defensive Player - Playing defense intensifies the competitiveness of my play; enjoy both on the ball and off the ball defense. Communicating also.
Ball Handler – Attack basket to finish play; “contact” is welcomed
Shooter - Take shots within offensive structure and situational plays. Can hit open shots and pull up jumpers.
Like all players, there are opportunities for improvement:
Rebounding – Focusing on box-out and positioning both inside and outside of paint.
dissecting game film- Starting to learn the importance of game film and how to learn from it.
Off the court, I am a 94F, Computer Detection Systems Repairer. Long story short I can fix any of your electronics. I want you to know that I am not looking for a scholarship, being that I have my G.I Bill that will pay for my school. I get out of the Army January 2017, and I would simply like the oppurtunity to be apart of your team. If there is ANY information you would need to know, feel free to reply.
Thank you and have a wonderful day,
Spc. Hansberry
