Jocelyn Leal '22 Recruiting Profile

I started playing golf when I was nine years old. I grew up sweating at the golf course and tanning on the soccer field. Since I was 10 I knew golf is what I wanted to do with my life. I come from a very competitive house hold, thus I know how to win and lose. I am very ambitious which means I will do what is necessary to become the best and standout. This applies to both golf and school. I know I can achieve my dreams/ goals due to the fact I am driven to give myself and my family a better life.

When it comes to golf I strive to do my best to be able to play the most competitive collegiate level. My goal is to get accepted into a D1 school. I push myself to improve every time I go to the range and the course while still enjoying the game. I have a good approach and am able to get good distances on my clubs. I am easy to coach, constructive criticism is always welcomed. Currently I am training 3-7 days a week for a minimum of 2 hours, and playing 2-3 times a week. 

Academically I have always challenged myself by taking high level classes. I also have good relationships with all my teachers. I complete all my assignments on time to maintain a high GPA.
