My college goal is to graduate with my Master's in Rehabilitation and Human Service (RHS) with Physical Therapist Track. This program prepares students to work in diverse human service settings that assist people with functional disabilities, psychological, social, chronic illness, mental health and/or other disabling conditions.
As a military child I experienced a lot of change due to parents moving and separation due to military deployments. There are a lot of things in this world that are out of my control, but my military life has helped me to adapt to the changes, overcome the obstacles through prayer, tenacity, and the will to never give up. I will prosper in college because I have learned to rely on the full appreciation of the importance of adhering to a strong ethical and value-oriented base core values. Maintaining all the good characteristics, like integrity, dedication of purpose, selflessness, and a determination not to accept failure.
My freshman year in high school I was chosen to play for the Varsity Basketball team, and Junior and Senior year I was selected Captain of the Varsity Basketball team. I believe my basketball knowledge, skill, self-motivation and tenacity led to these selections. Although I was selected for such elite positions, I did not become complacent. Yet, I continued to push myself to achieve even more! In addition, I believe that I would make an excellent candidate for any team, because of my ability to encourage those around me. I have an unquenchable thirst to not only improve myself, but I work just as hard to help my teammates to achieve the same. On the basketball team I am always pushing others to become more and to achieve more than they thought possible. I have proven my basketball skills on the court, and have shown leadership qualities, with great character and an eagerness to succeed.
I am currently the Vice President of the Senior Student Government Association, Captain of the Junior Varsity Team (2017-2018), Captain of the Varsity Basketball team for three years, member of the Grace Christian Academy Soccer team and track team.
Recognized with various awards: Junior Basketball MVP (2017), Varsity Basketball MVP (2019-2021), Metro Independent School Athletic League First Team Selection (2019-2020), All Star Academic Honors Award (2018-2021), Distinguished Christian Award (Athletics 2017-2021), and the Christian Citizenship Award (2017-2021).
