Brendan Mathey '25 Recruiting Profile

My earliest memories all revolve around basketball. I have loved the game ever since I was a little kid. Basketball has allowed me to travel all around the country, meet some of my closest friends, and has helped me become the person I am today. Through basketball I have learned many things like the value of hard work, which I apply to all aspects of life especially on the court and in the classroom. Basketball has also taught me about the value of teamwork and how everything is better when you work as a team.  Finally, basketball has taught me to never give up.  A game can be won in the final seconds and there is always another chance to make a shot.  This mental toughness pushes me to continue to work to the best of my ability so that I can achieve my goals.
