Jackson Selvala J...Personal Statement
I'm a versatile, multi-sport athlete whose goal is to play college basketball. I'm an unselfish, team-oriented player who is very coachable. My combination of height, length, athleticism and shooting create potential mis-match opportunities. In addition to be a scoring threat, I'm an excellent rebounder and passer, and get a couple of blocks and steals per game as well. I'm a high character kid with natural leadership qualities and who is also very focused on academics. My parents both graduated from the University of Michigan and also earned Ivy League MBAs.
My goal is to play basketball in college for a school that combines academic and athletic excellence that will help me to prepare and thrive in life after college. I am most interested in schools with a strong sense of spirit and tradition - and active alumni networks.
I grew up a Michigan fan but actively follow the large power conference schools. I am also a fan of the Ivy League and strong academic programs nationwide (geographically flexible).
