John Mattison '13 Recruiting Profile

My name is John Mattison. I attend John Marshall High School in Rochester, MN. I am a devoted student athlete. My weighted GPA is 4.03, and my ACT score is 28. My class rank is 54 of 420. I have been on the A Honor Roll for my entire high school career. 

Freshman: Started at point guard, Leading scorer (8.3)

Sophomore: Leading scorer (10.0), Steals (2.2), Team MVP, Big Nine All Conference Honorable Mention

Junior: Leading Scorer (15.6), Steals (2.6), Assists (3.1), Free- Throws (76%), Team MVP, Co-Captain, Big Nine All Conference Team, MN KAAL Prep Athlete of the Week.

I am a part of clubs and organizations at school. These include: GPS (Leadership), Captains Corner, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), and German Club. I am also very involved in the community.  I help at my church, Litter Bit Better, fundraising, Brains Together for a Cure, Salvation Army, RCYBA, and local basketball clinics...etc. My goal is to play basketball at the Division 1 level. I have the confidence that I can make this happen because I work extremely hard. This spring and summer I am playing on the Minnesota Fury AAU team. Basketball is a big part of my life and playing at the next level would be a dream come true.
