Katilyn Steffes '20 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Katilyn, my coaches and teammates call me Kt though. I am a Covid Freshman at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge Iowa. 

We are currently ranked 1st in the country for Division 2 junior colleges, and 1st for our conference in Iowa, which is the ICCAC. My team and I placed third at nationals last year where I was also named on the All-Tournament team and it was a really amazing experience. We are doing really good this year because we have most of our returners back plus some really good girls that have came in and are 21-0. I'm currently leading the ICCAC conference in kills per set at 4.39 with my season hitting percentage at .250. I was out for about two weeks of total games because I strained my ab muscle, but I've taken time to rehab and heal and I'm feeling really good. 

My GPA from last year was a 2.2, I didn't exactly know how to juggle everything that I was going through by myself but I'm working really hard this year to get good grades to balance it out; and then my grades in my second semester to bring it up even more.
