My interests in college studies are in the area of health sciences such as physical therapy, sports medicine, and exercise science. My reasons for those interests are that I am curious about the movements and functions of the athlete’s body, when healthy and injured. I also want to help people prevent and recover from injury because I hate being injured and being kept from doing what I really want to do: play basketball. I take my studies seriously and have a 3.7/4.0 GPA at an academically competitive high school.
What makes me different from other players is that I am dedicated and have a strong work ethic. Part of the reason is that I love the game, and the other reason is that I am often one of the shortest players on the court. This means that I have to compensate for my height by working harder than others and spending hours in the gym. I focus on my ball handling, shooting, and quickness. I work to develop my strength and vertical by lifting weights regularly. I am never satisfied and am always looking to improve. As a team member, I have a high basketball IQ, and I try to get my teammates involved. I look forward to being a part of a college team and play harder competition to grow as a player.
