Ahlante Askew '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ahlante Askew and I'm a 6'0" 140 pound point guard/shooting guard from Republic, MO. 

I found my love for the game of basketball before the age of five playing for my father's organization. My passion for the sport runs deep and I have so many family members, coaches, teachers and friends who have supported me along the way. I pride myself in being a leader on the court while maintaining my focus on also succeeding academically. I play the game and train year round in order to continue developing my skillset to become the best athlete I can be. 

As a freshman, in the 2020 season, I took pride in being the only starting freshman in the Missouri Central Ozarks Conference where we finished the year with a record of 20 and 8 which lead us to the district championship game. I averaged 5.8 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 2 drawn charges per game. 

At the halfway point in my sophomore year, I'm averaging 14 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and shooting 40% from the three-point line. I was named Breakout Performer of the Blue and Gold Tournament while receiving All-Tournament 2nd Team Honors.

I would love to continue my academic and basketball career at a college where I can excel in the classroom and on the court. I am open to all options in order to continue pursuing my future goals.
