Adam Painter '22 Recruiting Profile

I love the game of basketball. I've been playing it since I was 4 and it has really been everything to me since. I played for as many teams as I could and for anyone I could just to play. I workout 4 days a week to get better and still play pickup with my friends on the weekends. I've been fortunate to get to work with my high school coaches on my game this summer. I'd be a good candidate for your men's basketball team because I work hard, show up on time, always give 100%, will do anything I'm asked to, and most of all bond and support my teammates and staff around me to create a positive energy on the team. I'd consider myself different from many recruits in the way that I always put team performance before my own and strive to make everyone around me better, because at the end of the game it's about winning, not who had the most individual points. I display this by always looking for the best offensive opportunity on the floor, setting screens, boxing out, getting after every loose ball, and focusing on executing everything my coach has asked of me, and helping my teammates to work together.  My attitude is the same off the court, as I give my best effort in the classroom, weight room, with my family, and with God. I will always work hard for the people around me. 

My goals for my future are to get a great education at a college where I can play basketball with a coach and players who emphasize and execute team play. I feel for a team to reach it's greatest potential it is through team play and good chemistry.  For my education, I am undecided on a major but am currently thinking of a Business/Finance degree.
