I want to study to become some type of surgeon at the college I attend. I would like to attend a smaller college school for four years then go on to receive a medical degree at a school here in St. Louis. I have taken biology and am currently in Chemistry. I plan on taking anatomy and AP biology my junior and senior years. I am also a member of the medical careers club. In terms of basketball, I played on the freshman team and was called up to the varsity team towards the end of the year. I lacked experience and knowledge of the game at the time and playing behind our senior center really helped me understand my role for the next three years on the team. My role is to be the large force that controls the paint, gets every rebound, and blocks shots. What separates me from others is how I am a team player and a learner. Whenever I screw up, I always will take constructive criticism from my teammates and coaches. I am very coachable and improve every time I am on the court. I try to help my skills every day by either running, lifting shooting or working on post moves around the hoop. I also have a personal trainer who I work with in order to improve my strength and force. What make me different from other centers is the length of my arms. Whenever someone is driving or beats me off the dribble towards the hoop, I can still block them.
