My name is Michael Kalaka and I am a part of the class of 2022. I attend the Marine Academy of Science and Technology which is ranked one of the best high schools for academics in the country. Although I attend MAST I play for my home high school of Henry Hudson Regional. I have trained two times a week along with having two practices a week for my AAU team during the off season. Shown in videos are the basketball skills that I posses such as strong ball handling, finishing skills, and athletic abilities. I have been working very hard at becoming stronger because I feel that will help me be an all around player. I am a very coach able person and have a really good work ethic. I strive to become better everyday and to improve myself in all aspects on and off the court. I have recently achieved my Eagle Scout which has taught me many skills such as different leadership styles and how to be a better person. I started in cub scouts when I was in 4th grade and have continued through boy scouts since then. During my time of scouting I have also achieved my membership in the Order of the Arrow which is a prestigious group in Boy Scouts.
