The first time I stepped onto a court I knew this was something I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I picked up the game quickly, and I realized that I had a lot of practice to do to become great. I always have a ball in my hands and that is my comfort zone. I have strong aspirations to play basketball at a high collegiate level. I have a strong work ethic, and I am very determined person. I believe I have what it takes to achieve my aspirations. I can shoot the ball from long range, I have a high basketball I.Q, and I can handle the ball well. I consider myself verbal on the court, and I lead by example. More importantly, I consider myself a great team mate. I truly enjoy team camaraderie and I expect the same from my team mates.
On and off the court, I always try to make good decisions, and I realize if I don't, there are consequences to my actions. I take my academic study just as serious as my commitment to basketball. I have a high GPA, and I take pride in keeping it there. I am an honor student, and I am striving to take advanced placement courses. I always have been taught from my parents to continuously challenge myself through my schooling and within my basketball career. I have participated in volunteer programs throughout my community and high school, and I enjoy the satisfaction that it brings to the particular program and myself.
I try to focus on each task at hand and do my best so I have no regrets when I'm done. My ultimate goal will be to find the right college that helps me challenge myself with my education and my career in basketball. I would like to be considered a "good role model" in my life both on and off the court. More importantly, I would like to thank my parents for the commitment that they have made to date and they will continue to make in order to help me grow into the man/role model I want to be.
