Brian Vincent Mendoza '22 Recruiting Profile

I am a Senior at Bergen Catholic High School playing as a Setter / Libero for the 2022 Varsity Volleyball team. I also play as a Libero for the 2022 Warren Six Pack Juniors 18-1 team. I was a starter Libero on the HS Varsity team as a Freshman and Setter on the HS Junior Varsity team at Bergen Catholic High School.

I become interested in Volleyball because majority of my family played the sport. From my grandmother and mother to my uncles. I am inspired especially by my uncle who played in high school and now coaches at one of the top Volleyball clubs in North Jersey. He influenced me to work hard, be patient and always play my best at every game. 

I’ve learned a lot from the 4 years of playing Volleyball as a Libero and Setter. I learned to always show good sportsmanship towards the refs, players and everyone else from playing Soccer and Volleyball. I know I still have to learn a lot. I had a great time and learned a lot from the 2019 Boy’s Youth USAV High Performance Training Program and the 2020 USAV Boys Virtual Program.

My academic goals are to finish with honors in high school and to be a Physical Therapy; and be part of a Men's Volleyball team in college.
