My collegiate goals that I would like to achieve are enrolling myself in a 4-year college and obtaining a degree in mathematics along with playing basketball. I would enjoy receiving my mathematics degree because I have been strongly considering joining the educational work place in the mathematics field because math has always been my favorite subject in school and I enjoy being around kids as well as working with them to help them become more intelligent as they mature into young adults. I would enjoy playing basketball in college because basketball has been my favorite sport since I started playing it at the age of four. The speed and intensity of the game is what I feel intrigues me the most about this sport. I would make a good candidate for any team because I believe that I am a player that is very easy to coach. I always follow the directions given to me by my coach and whenever I am out on the court, it is a guarantee that I will be playing to the best of my ability both in games and especially during practice. My character sets me apart from other recruits because I find myself to be an outgoing person and a sportsman. If I was in a situation where a new player joins the team and does not have anyone to talk to, I will gladly approach them and introduce myself to them to make them feel more comfortable. I also consider myself a sportsman because I always respect my opponents and if any player takes a fall, I'll be the first one there helping them get back up onto their feet and back into the game. Athletically, I believe that I stand out from my teammates as well as my opponents based on my work ethic and my "team first" attitude. When I step onto the court, I always work my hardest and do what I feel is best to help my team win. I also know my limits on the court and know how to handle certain situations. I am always working on what I feel I need to work on or what my coach wants me to work on to stretch my limits until they are no longer drawbacks, but strengths that I now possess. Academically, I stand out because in my school, not many students are enrolled in mostly honors and advanced placement classes playing two sports all year round. To me, school always comes first because I value my education very highly since it will help me the most in my adult life. Playing basketball at the next level has always been a dream of mine, whether it be going from intramural to travel, from travel to AAU, from freshmen to junior varsity, and so on. Basketball is something that I've always relied on from when I was younger until this very day. Playing at the collegiate level no matter the division o difficulty, would truly be the opportunity of a lifetime.
