I’m Caden Seymour - a 14-year-old at Amityville Memorial High School in Long Island, New York and I will be graduating in 2027. I realized my love for the game very early on from both playing and watching basketball. I have been playing basketball since I was in kindergarten. And ever since then I have loved everything about the game!
I started playing on an AAU team (N.I.I.T.) in 2023 but I have been playing basketball for year before that- Baldwin PAL k-5th grade then CYO I played for St Martians for 2 years (7th and 8th grade). Because of COVID my 6th grade season at CYO was cancelled but I took that time to work on my skill in my backyard waiting for the next season to start. I view myself as a leader on and off the court. All my coaches have told me how easy I am to coach and that I have a great demeanor. I maintain a positive attitude and always keep myself mentally and physically ready.
Being a student-athlete has helped me learn how to prioritize my schoolwork and normal life and sports life and how important it is to be organized. I am currently undecided about what I will major in college. My goal is to attend a school with a challenging academic program and a strong basketball program, as I really hope, and my goal is to play basketball at the college level. The goal after that would be the NBA!
