Kingston Loucks '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kingston Loucks, and I am currently a junior in high school. I start on the varsity basketball team as a shooting guard. I also play on a AAU team out of Houghton Academy.  Basketball is my passion, it’s the one thing in my life I am the most sure of. I can’t imagine my life without basketball in it. Whether I am playing it or following my favorite players/teams. My ultimate dream and goal is to play basketball in college. I want to study sports, and the opportunity to play my favorite sport would be amazing. It’s shaped my life in many ways, by keeping my focus in school, and leadership. It helps build character and true commitment. My love for this sport drives me to my success, and it won’t stop when it involves basketball. My parents are a huge support as well, and I am grateful for the opportunities they have given me thus far to do so. They believe in me, and would love to see me fulfill my dream. I would like to lastly mention in honor of my Papa, who has recently passed away in February unexpectedly, he was one of my biggest fans. He is the man who started my whole journey. He used to watch me when I was little. He placed a basketball in my hands at the age of two and I started practicing on my “Little Tikes” basketball hoop, soon I was making basket and basket. It’s been history ever since. My Papa always talked about some of the past great basketball players. His favorite team had always been the Boston Celtics, and he always loved Larry Bird. Since that day, he always called me “Baby Bird.” He always said I would be playing for the NBA someday, he had big dreams for me too, as you can see. I have high expectations, like my papa, but I would be thrilled to just be able to play ball in college. From this day forward, I aspire to work hard, and achieve my goals, and make my parents and my Papa proud.
