Derek Andrews '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Derek Andrews and I am a class of 2022 combo Guard.  I have had a love for the game of Basketball for as long as I can remember. This passion for the game has inspired me to continually improve my game.   I not only train year round to get better physically, but this passion inspires me to study the game constantly to get better mentally.   I pride myself on my Basketball IQ and believe this passion continue to fuel my desire to play at the next level.  

Academically, I have been able to achieve a high level of success as well.  I have been fortunate that my high school has offered AP and Honors classes that have challenged me and prepared me for College.    I have a strong interest in PT or PA programs and will most likely pursue a degree in those fields.  

Off the court and outside the classroom I am a strong teammate and friend.  I have developed strong leadership skills that will be a great asset to any team and their existing culture.    I am looking for a great fit for both basketball and academics and look forward to being a contributing student-athlete.
