I am a rising senior and a three sport Varsity Letter winner at Grand Island Senior High School. My sports are basketball, baseball, and volleyball. I'm actively involved in community service and employment as I develop my leadership skills. In addition to earning many athletic accomplishments, I maintain high academic standards and play a role in student government.
2020-2021 will be my fourth year on the Varsity Basketball Team. I'm excited to represent the team as a Captain! I’ve played a couple years of AAU with the NEBC in Adidas Silver and Gold Gauntlet Tournaments. This year I'm excited to play for a team sponsored by former NBA player Jonas Jerebko. In baseball, I'm encouraged by the success I've had as a mid-infielder and pitcher for the school Varsity Baseball Team. I enjoyed playing Varsity Volleyball on a 2019 New York State Championship team and look forward to the 2020-21 season.
My parents and older brother support me with love, faith, structure, and motivation in my life. I am committed to improve athletic and mental skills, as well as, train to increase my overall physical performance. I believe in leading a team by example, while encouraging and challenging myself, and teammates, to work smarter and harder. All the coaches I’ve played for describe me as a very coachable athlete.
My determination to be the hardest working player on and off the court/field has given me success. I have fun experiencing the highs and lows of sport and living with a positive mind set. Maintaining a high GPA and being involved throughout high school is a priority. Currently, I’m the Senior Class Treasurer and a member of Grand Island’s DECA program. I received a teacher-nominated academic and character-based award “The Pride of the Island”. I also received the freshmen (2017-18), sophomore (2018-19), and junior (2019-20) Outstanding Male Athlete Awards at Grand Island High School. I always volunteer for several community service projects, including: N.Y.S. road cleanup, serving at soup kitchens, serving coffee and donuts after Sunday Mass, and making Holiday cards residents at the Riverwoods Nursing home and those less fortunate. I’ve also worked stage crew for local theater productions. In addition, I’m involved with the Young Life youth group, which values a strong faith, good decision making, and taking pride in all you do, so that my life has great worth, meaning, and purpose.
My work ethic is second to none in my summer full time job and year round part time home remodeling position. I will attend a college that fits me in the classroom and on the court/fields!
