Hello, my name is Keith Slack, and I love the game of Basketball! I’ve been playing basketball since I could hold a ball. As a toddler, I enjoyed watching games on TV and I would commit to practicing what I seen some of the Basketball Legends do. Now that I’m older, I no longer just watch basketball games, I study them. When I’m not playing or studying basketball, I really enjoy music a lot, I play the drums and now have started learning how to play the keyboard. Before playing Varsity Basketball, I participated in my school’s music department. I’m also an active member of my church’s Youth Department and during the summer, I volunteer and help some of my elderly family members and friends with their yard work and other projects they may have.
As a Senior student, I’m looking forward to majoring in sports management. Sports Management/communications is a field i'm interested in because i'm so fascinated with sports and analytics. I’m a very determined, team orientated, and a selfless person and I feel that’s what it takes to be a great sports caster and basketball player. Being a point guard, a natural leader on and off the floor, it’s my desire to make my teammates better and play as one unit to win! Being a part of a basketball team has taught me many invaluable things, like building strong friendships and support systems, learning patience, and helping to identify strengths and weakness. Most important, I’ve learned that teamwork is absolutely essential for the survival of any team. I believe my accomplishments, awards, and stats show my dedication and love for the game.
I’m a great candidate for your team because you’ll get a passionate and dedicated floor general on the courts and in the classroom. It has always been a dream of mine to be able to play college basketball, continue practicing what I have learned, make sure all my hard work and training has paid off, and to help the team win. My life goal is to work hard at everything I do and be successful in the game of life!
