From the high pitched squeaks of shoes, to the sound of the ball bouncing, and the echoing yells of competing opponents going head to head I am completely obsessed with the game of basketball. Becoming the best version of myself in this game has become my obsession. I am in love with journey as well as the gruelling six a.m workouts, running hills until my lungs feel as if they've caught on fire, and doing defensive slides to the point where both sitting and standing is uncomfortable. I just love the challenge and pushing my body to its limits to discover what I'm truly capable of. Above all my favourite part is competing and the level of competition that comes with this game. I love to compete during games but to me the real competition and work comes from my training. In each and every drill I do the goal is to be better than everyone else who’s also working that I can’t see and to push myself to my limits so that it’ll be second nature when it’s game time.
